Some of the Penryn Staff had a great opportunity to attend Teacher's College in New York City. We not only got to meet Lucy Calkins but we received priceless professional development from Lucy and her team around writing. A huge take away for us was "teach the writer not the writing".
Penryn School is in their second year of Writers Workshop. With our small school our staff is being creative with their limited resources to make writing a priority. |
