I can't believe it, it is official, I am a blogger. It took me awhile to figure out if I even was worthy of being a blogger. I would ask myself questions like, who cares about me, who cares what I am doing, why would anyone want to read my blog. But then I got to thinking, I experience and hear some pretty funny things and I must share it with the world, so with that said, here goes.
Right now I am in a whiny mood, I am not sure if it's that holiday season thing or just me. I started feeling like I am whining about everything, why do I have to, how come I have to and they don't, why did only 2 people come to my Coffee with Cara today, why do my clothes not fit, why is my house construction not done, why aren't the students not listening to me, why are my kids whining so much, why do I not win the money in my football pool, why don't I win the lottery, whine, whine whine!! Then the school counselor walked into my office wanting to run some things by me before our afternoon IEP, little did she know she was going to get an earful from me. Needless to say, I feel better now, got all that whining off of my chest. Thanks Mrs. Courtright, now what did you need?
I am proud to say I completed the 13.1 Mandarun on November 21st. I took it nice and slow but completed the run, passing the finish is really all that matters, right? Part of why I am celebrating this run is because there were about 4 of us running this race and I ended up all alone, running it myself. However, what I do love about running races is the eclectic group you meet along the way. You have your avid runners with all their gear, warming up by running a half marathon before the half marathon, which is crazy to think since my warm up is the first 3 miles (ok so maybe 5 miles) of the run. You also have your newbies who have no idea what they got themselves into, either someone lead them blindly or a friend pressured them into participating, so they didn't have to run it alone. Either way, it is a great place to people watch, it is one of my favorite things about running races. I really enjoy running in the LBEF Mandarun, it's a great family event, for a great cause, the students of Loomis Union. Now, if only everyone was still around when I crossed the finish line, apparently I need to pick up the pace! When I cross the finish line I imagine this big crowd of Penryn students and families cheering on their principal as they cross the finish line. I am saddened to see, everyone has left and are probably eating lunch by the time I cross the finish line. No matter what, I still have a wonderful time, enjoy the scenery and I am happy to support an amazing LBEF event. Keep up the good work LBEF.
Now bear with me since this is my first post. I will work to get more entertaining with time as I become a more avid blogger, for now, I am a newbie learning the blogging ropes.
